WT4D Take a lead in networks and peer organisations

As an organisation that is now a leader on adaptation, you will have invaluable experience to share – and much still to learn. Your adaptation work will be strengthened when others are progressing, so take an active role in networks and connect with peer organisations.

Sub tasks:

Get constructive feedback
- By this stage your organisation and partnership arrangements are likely to be among the leading adaptation work in Scotland. In order to maintain progress and momentum it is important for your work to be challenged and shaped by peers working in other locations, sectors or spheres of influence. This can enable objective feedback on progress and support further development. Ask for feedback from peers and contribute to expert working groups and tasks groups (for example those run through the Adaptation Learning Exchange) to help further refine your knowledge and approach and share learning with others.
Contribute to international groups and networks
- There are lots of opportunities to connect with peers and partner organisations working on adaptation in other countries. Scotland has a key role to play in supporting global adaptation efforts and by participating your organisation /partnership will make an important contribution.
Support young leaders and early career professionals
- Contribute knowledge and expertise to support skills development on adaptation across professional networks and as part of leadership development programmes.
- Develop student placements to provide experience for students and graduates
- Provide mentoring for young leaders through the 2050 Climate Group
